Hello. My name is Dr. Staysha Veal, and I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy specializing in culturally responsive and trauma-informed mental health within school settings. My dissertation focused on supporting underserved populations in the school system, a central theme throughout my 15-year career in mental health. I have worked across diverse settings, including forensic psychology, in-patient treatment and community-based mental health, with my longest tenure in school-based mental health. In schools, I have delivered mental health services to both general and special education students, while leading mental health programming within my district and supporting a dedicated team responsible for providing direct services. Currently, I serve as a Clinical Supervisor and Intern Coordinator for the Solano County Office of Education, continuing my commitment to trauma-informed care and equitable mental health support in schools.
